Description:
1 Cutting head
2 Side lever to adjust the cutting head
3 ON/OFF switch
4 LED indicator (Blue/Red charging) (Green/Off is charging)
5 Combs (6 pieces: 1.5/3/4.5/6/10/13mm)
Use and charge the battery without charging station:
The device contains a lithium battery. When the device is shipped, it is not yet fully
charged. You should therefore fully charge the battery before using it for the first time. Before charging
make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage
specified on the device. Connect the supplied adapter to the mains and then directly to the device. The battery will reach its full power capacity only after a few charging cycles.
During charging, a BLUE/RED indicator light will be on. When the battery is fully
charged, the light will go out or turn green.
Charging the battery while it is not yet (completely) empty will not affect the
performance of the device. However, we recommend that you fully discharge and then fully recharge the battery from time to time to extend the life of the battery. Lay the power cord so that no one can trip over it. Keep the cord, device and adapter away from hot surfaces.
Switching the device on and off
The device is switched on or off with the on/off switch. (2)
Adjusting the cutting length.
The cutting head can be adjusted
to different lengths using the side adjustment lever (2): 0.5/1.5/2.5/3.5 mm.
Adjusting the cutting length using attachment combs:
The attachment combs can be attached to the cutting head
for different cutting lengths. They are supplied with the unit in sizes 1.5/3/4.5/6/10/13 mm
. These are attached to the device using a magnet in the attachment comb.
Cleaning and care
To maintain the optimal cutting performance of the device, you should regularly maintain it the device.
It is best to clean and oil the device daily.
Turn off and unplug the unit.
Remove the comb attachment from the cutting head if it is being used.
Remove all hair and other debris with the brush provided.
Carefully remove the cutting head from the unit. (If possible) Oil the cutting head; if you use the unit regularly, we recommend that you do this before each use. Oil all parts of the cutting head that come into contact with each other. Use only the special oil supplied with the unit (do not dilute it, it does not hinder the running of the cutting head). Health hazard due to maintenance oil! Store the filled oil bottle out of reach of children. Do not swallow! Avoid eye contact. Dispose of empty.
You can use a slightly damp (not wet) cloth to clean the device housing.
Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the device.
If the cutting head picks up less hair after some time, you can
replace it with a new original cutting head (available as a spare part from EFALOCK).
Cleaning the cutting head/replacing the side lever and/or its stepless adjustment:
Step 1: Loosen the two screws counterclockwise and remove the
cutting blades. Leave the plastic part, including the spring, in place.
Step 2: Unscrew the right screw only. This will lock the nut so you
can unscrew the side lever screw without it turning.
Step 3: Remove the side lever screw by unscrewing it counterclockwise
and place it next to the unit.
Step 4: If you want to remove the click system so you can work continuously,
remove the part you see circled. Save this!
Step 5: Replace the side lever and make sure it is back to the
correct tension. Test this by
moving the side lever up and down. This varies from person to person, but make sure it is not too tight
or too loose.
Step 6: Now you can loosen the right screw again counterclockwise.
Step 7: Oil the blades where indicated.
Step 8: Replace the blades by tightening the screws clockwise.
Don't tighten them all the way yet, because you still need to check if the blade is straight and how
short it needs to be adjusted. Adjust the blades to be short and straight, and then tighten the
screws. Be sure to keep the blades straight!
