Using and charging the battery without charging station:
The device contains a lithium battery. When the device is delivered, it is not yet fully
charged. You should therefore fully charge the battery before using it for the first time. Before charging, ensure
that the mains voltage matches the voltage
indicated on the device. Connect the supplied adapter to the mains and then directly to the device. The battery will only reach its full capacity after several charging cycles.
A BLUE/ RED indicator light will light up during the charging process. When the battery is fully
charged, the light goes out or lights up green.
Charging the battery while it is not yet (completely) empty has no effect on the
performance of the device. However, we recommend that you fully discharge the battery from time to time and then fully charge it again to extend the life of the battery. Lay the power cable so that nobody can trip over it. Keep the cable, the device and the adapter away from hot surfaces.
Switching the device on and off
The device is switched on or off using the on/off switch.
Adjusting the cutting length.
The cutting head can be set to different lengths using the side adjustment lever: 0.5/1.5/2.5/3.5 mm.
Setting the cutting length using attachment combs:
The attachment combs can be attached to the cutting head
for different cutting lengths. They are supplied with the device in sizes 1.5/3/4.5/6/10/13 mm
. These are attached to the appliance using a magnet in the attachment comb.
Cleaning and care
To maintain the optimum cutting performance of the appliance, you should maintain it regularly.
It is best to clean and oil the appliance daily.
Switch the appliance off and disconnect it from the power supply.
Remove the comb attachment from the cutting head if it is in use.
Remove all hair and other debris with the brush provided.
Carefully remove the cutting head from the appliance. (If possible) Oil the cutting head; if you use the appliance regularly, we recommend that you do this before each use. Oil all parts of the cutting head that come into contact with each other. Only use the special oil supplied with the appliance (do not dilute, it does not hinder the operation of the cutting head). Health hazard due to maintenance oil! Store the filled oil bottle out of the reach of children. Do not swallow! Avoid contact with eyes. Dispose of empty.
Use a slightly damp (not wet) cloth to clean the appliance housing.
Do not use any aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the appliance.
If the cutting head starts to pick up less hair after a while, you can replace it
with a new original cutting head (available as a spare part from EFALOCK).
Cleaning the cutting head/replacing the side lever and/or its stepless adjustment:
Step 1: Unscrew the two screws counterclockwise and remove the
cutting blades. Leave the plastic part including the spring in place.
Step 2: Unscrew only the right-hand screw. This will lock the nut so that you
can unscrew the side lever screw without it turning.
Step 3: Remove the side lever screw by unscrewing it counterclockwise
and place it next to the appliance.
Step 4: If you want to remove the click system to be able to work continuously,
remove the part you see circled. Keep this!
Step 5: Replace the side lever and make sure that it is set to the
correct tension again. Test this by moving the side lever up and down
. This will vary from person to person, but make sure it is not too tight
or too loose.
Step 6: Now you can loosen the right-hand screw counterclockwise again.
Step 7: Oil the blades at the indicated points.
Step 8: Replace the blades by tightening the screws clockwise.
Do not tighten them completely yet, as you still need to check whether the blade is straight and how
short it needs to be set. Set the blades short and straight and then tighten the
screws firmly. Make sure that the blades remain straight!
